How to Make a DIY Pirate Hat

For anyone organising a pirate themed party on a budget or you are just looking for something fun to make with the kids have a look below how to make a really cool pirate hat out of newspaper!

What you need:
1 x old newspaper
1 x black marker (black paper or card will also work)
White paper
Scissors
Glue

Instructions:

1.Take four sheets of newspaper folded over and place in front of you with the opening of the paper closest to you

2. Fold the top corners of the paper in towards each other on both sides

3.Lift the front bottom flap and fold it up.

4. Flip the paper up and lift the flap up on the other side.

5. Use a stapler on either side (I placed it over my sons head at this stage to measure the size of his head)

6. Use a black marker to fill in the centre of the paper. (you can use black paper or card either)

6. Roughly draw out a skull & crossbones on a white sheet of paper and cut out.

7. Glue the skull and crossbones to the hat.

Your pirate hat is complete!! ARRRRRRGHHH!!!!
